I’m following the game on MLB’s wonderful iPhone app, At-Bat 2009. Worth every penny of the $9.99 I paid. (And whenever I can catch it on a screen) Then I’m posting using a WordPress app.
FiveToolPlayer’s gone high-tech.
• Looks like Phillies fans are collectively dressed up as soon-to-be disappointed fanbase
• And… Cole Hamels is dressed up as 2008 World Series MVP Cole Hamels. And Andy Pettitte is really ruining my night.
• Of course A-Rod would break out of his slump with a controversial replay call. I mean, the first ever replay home run in MLB history was his. Why not the first WS one as well?
• And a different take is Hamels hit A-Rod. A-Rod hit him back.
• Big inning. Swish, Andy, Jeter, and Damon all have big hits to knock out Hamels. I like the way the game is trending.
• Swisher with a big homerun off the future NL ROY. Didn’t I call a big series for Swish? Whew. Law of averages.
• Cancer research lost $1M tonight. Monster shot by Wertg. Second of the game.
• Has Cano done anything this postseason? He’s been a spectator for three weeks.
• Ok. This is getting ridiculous. Time to hit Utley or Howard in the head.
• Damn it Cano. Don’t you know a reverse jinx? Yankees bats have come alive. Down to our bullpen to seal the deal.
• 123 inning for Joba and the Yankees bullpen? Wow. I’m impressed. I’m guessing we see a lefty-righty-lefty pitching change for the eighth. Then Mo for the ninth. On the otherhand the Phillies haven’t even used Lidge in the series yet.
• Joe Girardi just threw me a Damaso-esque curveball by leaving Marte in for three batters in the eighth for a 123 inning. Joe has looked good by letting Swisher play, Pettitte swing, the Matsui pinch hit HR and so far, flawless bullpen management. He gets ripped apart fir his decisions. Conversely he should get a parade everytime he looks this good.
• What a boon it would be to rest Mo tonight. Bullpen’s looked good so far.
• Ugh. Just as I wrote that a homerun by Ruiz.
• Pedro Cerrano to President David Palmer to Allstate Insurance spokesperson. That’s some range.
• Mo shows how it’s done. Picking up one of his easier saves. Big win nonetheless. 70% of teams that win game three in a tied series end up winning the series.
• Player of the Game: Andy Pettitte
Struggled early but fought through to give the Yankees a solid start. Added a big RBI single and a run to help his own cause.

You are the future of color commentary, fivetoolplayer.
Was it tedious to put up these posts from your iPhone?
