And finally, Joey Chestnut, the returning “Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest” champion ate 68 hot dogs and buns to defeat arch-nemesis and six-time champion Takeru Kobayashi. Chestnut then celebrated his victory by swallowing Kobayashi whole, as per traditional rules.
