If shaq and lebron manage to win a championship together, it must be asked...

shaquille o'neal... greatest center of all time not named bill russell?

the most vital attribute shaq brings to cleveland will be his ability to create his own shot. instead of lebron tiring himself out driving and finishing/dishing every damn play, taking stepback jumpers cause no one is even remotely trying to score, now mo and west can dribble the ball up, have shaq post and feed him down low. does this make them champs? naw. unless mike brown is real smart with using shaq, i'm talking popovic using duncan type smart (sacrificing higher seeding to give his star rest to be able to fully utilize him in the postseason), they still might not beat the magic.

shaq & lebron vs. kobe & gasol would be a hell of an ad campaign though. the kobe beef, the best player alive argument and the when-will-the-media-recognize-me-and-realize-this-team-is-moot-without-me debacle all settled in one series? classic.

Did you intentionally use a picture with Kobe in the background? Because this is the NBA story that will put "Kobe winning his 4th championship" on the backburner? Or because it's symbolic of Kobe always being the background of every Shaq story and vice versa? Or the implication that like real life, Kobe is in the background, and LeBron is in the forefront of the NBA?

Or it's just a picture you found with Shaq and LeBron. . .

despite all your valid points about why shaq is going to get along with bronbron, i think the main reason shaq gets into all those soured relationships is because of his ego. the dude OBVIOUSLY isn't the same player anymore. but he still talks as if he is. you could clearly tell from amare's body language that he didn't appreciate shaq constantly taking credit for his success and being his "mentor." he wanted to make a name for himself because he's inherently good, not because some old washed up guy is hyping him up. for shaq to suck up his pride and to finally admit that his time in the limelight has faded.. to go follow lebron around and try to win championships.. that doesnt sound like shaq at all. he just added hardware to his all-star collection with his 15th selection.. he's still an all-star and STILL the best center in the league in his mind. in my mind he's barely in the top 5.

while i could see the shaq-bron thing working, i could totally see it not working either. they'll make a deep run, maybe even win a championship, but their relationship probably won't be a long-term bromance.
