The Minnesota Timberwolves traded away Mike Miller and Randy Foye for the Washington Wizards‘ #5 pick and some crap. That leaves the TWolves with the #5, #6, #18, and #28 picks in this year’s draft. My guess is they package some of the picks (maybe #5 and #18) together in order to move up to #2 to grab Hasheem Thabeet. If they did, Minnesota would have a monster three-headed front-line AND they could still grab a guard to fill their now weak backcourt. I know I said they should pick Jonny Flynn but now without Miller and Foye, Tyreke Evans or Stephen Curry would be great for them. As for Washington, they have a crowded backcourt with this trade. But they’ve definitely upgraded their roster. Can they now contend with the East’s elite? I still think they have to improve the depth of their frontline.
UPDATE: Just read a headline that said “Wolves Target Rubio”. True.
