Please Mike Dunleavy, don’t screw up his career.
Blake Griffin,
We here at Writing the Pine send you our sincerest condolences. Your career was destined for greatness. Now, since you’ll be with the Clippers, we’re not so sure. Personally, I think you are a better version of Amare Stoudemire. But it looks like we might have to wait four years before we get to see how good you can be when you sign elsewhere. Or better yet, when they trade you for Emeka Okafor’s expiring contract. But I believe you, of all players, have it in you to overcome the career-killing vortex known as the Clippers organization. Please, if you feel any hint of frustration, don’t hesitate to make it publicly known (preferably here first) and express your desire to be on another team. The NBA will be better for it, the fans will be better for it, and most importantly, you’ll be better for it. Regardless of what happens, best of luck to you. You’ll need it in LA.
